'Resurgence' is the response to the deep musical urges that inspire me to share my music. Through the process of connecting with my re-emerging creativity, I’ve had the joyous experience of being able to tap into the musical influences of my roots and my adopted country. This rich melting pot of musical energy includes Goa, (an ex-Portuguese colony in India), the land of my ancestors, Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania, my country of birth, and Montreal, Quebec (Canada) my adopted country. Thus, the lovely music of Tanzania, and the melodic folk songs and Latin influences of Portuguese music in Goa, together with the rich Indian sonorities combined with Konkani, the language of Goa, and the multicultural profusion of creativity in Quebec together with the romantic language of Moliere have all been wonderful and powerful creative influences in my life. I feel deeply blessed to have had the joy of experiencing and living my musical life through the years amidst so many rich creative cultural traditions.
